Additional details have been announced for the original motion picture soundtrack of the forthcoming movie version of the musical Rock of Ages, which is be available for digital download from iTunes in mid-May, according to EW.com. A total of 20 tracks will be featured on the CD.
As previously reported, the recording will be released by WaterTower Music for purchase in stores on June 5, and the movie will hit theaters on June 15.
The film, which focuses on a rock club in Los Angeles, has a score that includes the hit songs of iconic rockers Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison, REO Speedwagon, and Twisted Sister, among others.
Tony Award winner Catherine Zeta-Jones will be heard on “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “We Built This City/We’re Not Gonna Take It” (with Russell Brand), while stage and screen star Alec Baldwin will duet with Brand on “Can’t Fight This Feeling” and also be heard on “Sister Christian” and “Don’t Stop Believin”.
The soundtrack will also feature Malin Akerman, Mary J. Blige, Diego Boneta, Tom Cruise, and Julianne Hough.
