A cast of Broadway stars will celebrate Bebe Neuwirth with a showcase of Kander and Ebb’s ”And The World Goes ‘Round”.
Abingdon Theatre Company has announced additional casting for its upcoming 25th Anniversary Gala on Monday, October 23, at the Edison Ballroom. Honoring two-time Tony and Emmy Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Sweet Charity, Cheers, Frasier), the event will feature a special concert performance of the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical revue And the World Goes 'Round.
Joining the cast are Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert), Sebastian Arcelus (Madam Secretary), Jeannette Bayardelle (The Color Purple), Cunio (Hairspray), Tyler Hanes (Cats), Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music), Morgan James (Godspell), Christine Pedi (Little Me), Jelani Remy (The Lion King), Carrie St. Louis (Wicked), Ali Stroker (Glee), Katie Thompson (Giant), Sally Ann Triplett (Finding Neverland), Pierre Marais (Saturday Night Fever), Ilda Mason (Cinderella), and Lily Kaufmann (Newsies).
Previously announced performers include Tony Award nominee Brenda Braxton, Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall, Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, Telly Leung, Bianca Marroquín, Drama Desk Award nominee Julia Murney, two-time Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil, and Angie L. Schworer.
And the World Goes 'Round will feature choreography by Deidre Goodwin, musical direction by Kevin David Thomas, and direction by Chad Austin. The musical revue features a collection of Kander and Ebb hits including "All That Jazz," "Maybe This Time," "Colored Lights," and "New York, New York."
