Allegiance leading man and Star Trek icon George Takei received a portrait from the theater-district restaurant Sardi's on Tuesday, January 12.

Takei heads the cast of Allegiance, a new Broadway musical inspired by his childhood experiences in a Japanese internment camp. The show began performances October 6 at the Longacre Theatre and ends its run February 14. The musical features a book by Marc Acito, with music and lyrics by Jay Kuo. Olivier Award nominee Stafford Arima directs.
