Amanda Seyfried, Trudie Styler, and More to Participate in Parity Plays Festival

The fourth annual collaboration between Colt Coeur and WP Theater will feature readings of plays by female and trans playwrights.

The Brooklyn-based theater company Colt Coeur and WP Theater announced some of the casting for the Fourth Annual Parity Plays Festival (Readings), which presents the work of female and trans playwrights in free readings.

The cast for the first reading in this year's series — of Rehana Lew Mirza's Hatef**k, directed by Pirrone Yousefzadeh, and taking place on November 13 — will be announced later. On November 16, Jeff Biehl, Satomi Blair, Emma Kikue Munson, Jay Patterson, and Emily Kunkel will participate in a reading of Leah Nanako Winkler's God Said This, directed by Morgan Gould.

Jennifer Carpenter, Glenn Davis, Amanda Seyfried, Trudie Styler, and Michael Warner will be in Lucy Thurber's Perry Street on November 19. The director will be announced later.

The series will conclude with Catherine Yu's Le Jete on November 20. Directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt, the cast will include Molly Carden, Lauren Currie Lewis, Lynne Lipton, Eden Marryshow, Kate Cullen Roberts, Brian Wiles, and Tyler Weaks.
