American Psycho and She Loves Me Lead 2016 Outer Critics Circle Award Nominations

The Outer Critics Circle kicked off the 2015-16 theater awards season on April 19, when Brian d'Arcy James (Something Rotten!) and Jennfier Simard (Disaster!) announced the list of OCC nominations at the Algonquin Hotel.

American Psycho and She Loves Me head the list with the most nods, receiving eight each. They were followed by Bright Star and On Your Feet!, both of which received seven, and Dear Evan Hansen, which received six nominations. Eclipsed, Lazarus, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, and Spring Awakening each tied at five nods, with The Humans, A View From the Bridge, and Waitress, receiving four per show.

The full list of nominees is below. Please note: Only new elements of Hamilton, Disaster!, and Blackbird, which were eligible in their off-Broadway incarnations, were considered for 2016 nominations. Shuffle Along will be considered eligible in the 2016-17 season.
