The American Theatre Wing has announced that its centennial book, American Theatre Wing, an Oral History: 100 Years, 100 Voices, 100 Million Miracles, will receive a second printing.
Celebrating 100 years of the Wing, American Theatre Wing, an Oral History: 100 Years, 100 Voices, 100 Million Miracles is described as "a fascinating cornucopia of untold lore and never-before-seen photos as prismatic and unexpected as the theater itself."
The book includes stories told by Angela Lansbury, Rosie O'Donnell, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Harold Prince, Kenny Leon, Neil Patrick Harris, David Henry Hwang, Harvey Fierstein, and James Corden. These oral histories trace the American Theatre Wing's dedication to supporting and fostering American theater and the burgeoning and veteran artists in their stories.
"I am delighted that this book will be going into a second printing, so our history can keep being told in homes from coast to coast," said Heather Hitchens, president and CEO of the American Theatre Wing. "The artists we've included span our 100 years of service, and the gorgeous historic photos we found in our archives help illustrate these stories. I'm looking forward to continuing moving the social needle forward as we enter our next 100 years."
