Annaleigh Ashford, Michael Urie, and More Celebrate The Legend of Georgia McBride

MCC Theater's production of Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride celebrated its opening night at the Lucille Lortel Theatre on September 9. Directed by Mike Donahue, the show runs through October 4.

The Legend of Georgia McBride follows an Elvis impersonator as he becomes a drag queen in order to make ends meet for himself and his pregnant wife. The production marks the MCC Theater debuts of both playwright Lopez and director Donahue.

The cast of The Legend of Georgia McBride will include Dave Thomas Brown (Heathers: The Musical), Wayne Duvall (O Brother, Where Art Thou?), Matt McGrath (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, off-Broadway), Keith Nobbs (Lombardi), and Afton C. Williamson (Banshee).
