Oscar winner Anne Hathaway and writer/performer Mike Birbiglia helped theater educator Seth Barrish celebrate the release of his new book, An Actor's Companion, on Tuesday, June 23, at The Barrow Group.

Birbiglia hosted a discussion with Barrish about the work, which is a compilation of tips and exercises for seasoned and beginning actors. Hathaway, recently seen onstage in Grounded at Public Theater, pens the book's forward.

Barrish is a co-artistic director of the Barrow Group, a theater company currently presenting a revival of Craig Wright's drama The Pavilion.
