Michael Greif will join his Next to Normal collaborators Kitt and Yorkey as the show’s director.

If/Then follows a 40-year-old woman named Elizabeth (Menzel) who returns to New York City to give her life a fresh start. The romantic musical paints a picture of modern-day Manhattan and explores how “choice and chance collide.”

Rapp is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson’s Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, Rent. This production will reunite him with Menzel; the two first appeared together in the original cast of Rent. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
