Cape May Stage will present Anthony Rapp, Live, performing at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse on Monday, July 2 at 8pm.
Rapp, best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Rent, has also appeared on Broadway in Precious Sons, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and Six Degrees of Separation. Film credits include the movie adaptation of Rent, as well as 17 Photos of Isabelle, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, Adventures in Babysitting, School Ties, Dazed and Confused, Six Degrees of Separation, Road Trip, and A Beautiful Mind (SAG Award nomination for ensemble). In 2000, he released his debut album, Look Around.
He has also authored the memoir, Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent, which he recently adapted into a one-man show entitled Without You, which he has performed in NYC, Korea and on stages throughout the country. As previously reported, Rapp brings his show to the Edinburgh Fringe and then London in Fall 2012.
