Blake, Bobby Conte Thornton, Ariana DeBose, Lucia Giannetta, Bradley Gibson, and Hudson Loverro, in addition to the show’s composer Alan Menken, lyricist Glenn Slater, and book writer Chazz Palminteri as special guests.
Under the direction of four-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks and Oscar winner Robert De Niro, A Bronx Tale is based on his acclaimed solo show and subsequent 1993 film of the same name. Set against the backdrop of racial strife and organized crime in the 1960s, the show follows an Italian-American teenager must choose between the father who raised him and the mob-boss father figure who fascinates him.
The production, which premiered in February at Paper Mill Playhouse, opened at Broadway’s Longacre Theatre on December 1.
