Full casting has been announced for Manhattan Theatre Club's world premiere of The Best We Could (A Family Tragedy), written by Emily Feldman and directed by Daniel Aukin. Preview performances begin February 7 ahead of a March 1 opening New York City Center – Stage I.

In The Best We Could (A Family Tragedy), a daughter's road trip with her father becomes a theatrical journey across more than just state lines. The premiere was delayed due to the Covid shutdown.
The production's creative team includes Lael Jellinek (scenic design), Anita Yavich (costume design), Matt Frey (lighting design), Kate Marvin (sound design), Kelly Gillespie (casting), and lark hackshaw (production stage manager).
