Bad Jews, Daddy Long Legs, and More Set for George Street Playhouse Season

The New Jersey theater has announced its 2016-17 lineup.

New Jersey's George Street Playhouse has announced its 2016-17 season.

The season will open with Rob Urbinati's Mama’s Boy, a look at the relationship between the Marguerite Oswald and her son, Lee Harvey, the future assassin of President John F. Kennedy. David Saint directs teh work, which runs from October 18-November 6.

Next up from February 7-26, is Christopher Demos-Brown's American Son, the story of an estranged husband and wife who rush to the police station when their son's car has been pulled over.

Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews runs from March 21-April 9. The acclaimed dark comedy follows four cousins in a battle over a prized family heirloom.

John Caird and Paul Gordon's musical Daddy Long Legs will run from May 2-21. Inspired by the novel by Jean Webster, the work follows a young woman's relationship with her unknown benefactor through a series of letters over the course of their lives.

An additional title will be announced in the coming months.
