The winner of two Tony Awards, ”Beautiful” opened January 12, 2014.
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical celebrated its fourth year on Broadway last night, January 16, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
With a book by Douglas McGrath and songs from the catalogue of Gerry Goffin, Carole King, Barry Mann, and Cynthia Weil, Beautiful officially opened at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on January 12, 2014. The show follows the life and career of singer-songwriter King and colleagues Goffin, Mann, and Weil, and features songs including "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."
The current Broadway cast includes Chilina Kennedy as Carole King, Evan Todd as Gerry Goffin, Ben Jacoby as Barry Mann, Paul Anthony Stewart as Don Kirshner, and Tony nominee Liz Larsen as Genie Klein. The ensemble includes Kerissa Arrington, Adam Dietlein, Kevin Duda, Laurel Harris, Jesse Hooker-Bailey, Stephanie Martignetti, Rob Marnell, Paris Nix, Kris Roberts, Sara Sheperd, Caliaf St. Aubyn, Yasmeen Sulieman, Nasia Thomas, Salisha Thomas, Daniel Torres, Melvin Tunstall, Alan Wiggins, and Dashaun Young.
