Nikki M. James, Sydney Lucas, and Jake Lucas will perform at the celebratory event.
Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, The Addams Family) will host the seventh annual Broadway Salutes event on Tuesday, September 29. Directed by Marc Bruni, Broadway Salutes will take place at Anita’s Way, the public space next to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The ceremony will begin at 4pm following red carpet arrivals at 3:30pm.
The show will feature special performances by Tony winner Nikki M. James (Les Misérables), Tony nominee Sydney Lucas (Fun Home), and Jake Lucas (The King and I), who will each perform a song from three shows that opened the year the Broadway Salutes honorees entered the business.
The industry-wide public celebration recognizes theater professionals for having worked 25, 35, and 50 years on Broadway and for their valuable contributions to the business. In addition to onstage performers, the event honors the behind-the-scenes practitioners, such as agents, attorneys, box office treasurers, casting directors, choreographers, composers, designers, directors, dressers, managers, musicians, orchestrators, producers, publicists, stagehands, stage managers, stylists, theater owners, ticket sellers, ushers, writers, and many more individuals who have dedicated their careers to the success of Broadway.
