Bedlam Theatre Company has announced upcoming productions of Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet and George Bernard Shaw’s Saint Joan, a dramatization of Joan of Arc’s life. Both plays will be performed in repertory at the Lynn Redgrave Theatre beginning in November.

Four actors — Ted Lewis, Tom O’Keefe, Andrus Nichols, and Eric Tucker — will inhabit a total of over 50 characters in the stripped down, immersive presentations of the plays. Tucker will direct as well as perform.

Saint Joan will open first, beginning performances on November 8 in advance of a November 14 opening, followed by Hamlet, which is scheduled to begin performances on November 15 and is set for a November 19 opening.

The productions will feature set design by John McDermott. The rest of the design team will be announced shortly.
