Rachel Chavkin directs the acclaimed drama.
The return off-Broadway engagement of Bess Wohl’s Small Mouth Sounds, which premiered at Ars Nova in 2015, opened last night at the Pershing Square Signature Center.
Directed by Rachel Chavkin, the play is described as follows: “In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six runaways from city life embark on a silent retreat. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect.”
Marcia DeBonis, Jojo Gonzalez, Brad Heberlee, Babak Tafti, Zoë Winters, Max Baker, Carmen Zilles, James Seol, and Quincy Tyler Bernstine make up the cast. Check out the ensemble as they take their opening-night bows.
