Wolfe is currently starring in the Sara Bareilles musical opposite Jason Mraz.
Betsy Wolfe will play her final performance in Sara Bareilles's Waitress on January 9, the actress announced on Twitter. She currently leads the production in the role of Jenna opposite Jason Mraz in his Broadway debut as Dr. Pomatter. No announcement about Wolfe's replacement has been made by the production.
Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features music and lyrics by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. The production opened April 24, 2016, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre and earned four Tony nominations.
Waitress also currently stars Drama Desk nominee Eric Anderson (Cal), Maia Nkenge Wilson (Becky), Caitlin Houlahan (Dawn), John Cullum (Joe), Will Swenson (Earl), Victoria Collett, Dayna Jarae Dantzler, Kayla Davion, Tyrone Davis Jr., Matt DeAngelis, Law Terrell Dunford, Katie Grober, Molly Hager, Molly Jobe, Brandon Kalm, Max Kumangai, Anastacia McCleskey, and Stephanie Torns.
The musical is choreographed by Lorin Latarro and designed by Scott Pask (sets), Suttirat Larlarb (costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Jonathan Deans (sound). Nadia DiGiallonardo serves as musical director.
