Roundabout Theatre Company, in association with Chocolate Factory Productions and Sonia Friedman Productions, has announced full casting for the first Broadway revival of Tom Stoppard’s Tony Award-winning play Travesties.

As previously announced, Tom Hollander will lead the production as Henry Carr, the role he recently performed at London's Menier Chocolate Factory. Joining him in the cast of the London import, directed by Patrick Marber, will be Peter McDonald (West End production of Travesties) as James Joyce, Seth Numrich (Golden Boy) as Tristan Tzara, Nicholas Woodeson (Mary Stuart) as Lenin, Scarlett Strallen (A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder) as Gwendolen, Sara Topham (Thérèse Raquin) as Cecily, Opal Alladin (Hedda Gabler) as Nadya, and Patrick Kerr (You Can't Take It With You) as Bennett.

Travesties tells the story of Henry Carr (Hollander), an elderly man who begins to recall his adventures in Zürich during World War I, during which time he interacted with James Joyce as he was writing Ulysses, Dadaist Tristan Tzara, and Lenin on the eve of the Russian Revolution. The play was first produced on Broadway in 1975, earning the Tony Award for Best Play.

The Menier Chocolate Factory revival broke box office records during its 2016 engagement, and later transferred to London's West End. Marber's revival received five Olivier Award nominations including Best Actor and Best Revival.

Travesties will begin preview performances on March 29, 2018, in advance of an April 24, 2018, press opening. The limited engagement will run through June 17, 2018, at the American Airlines Theatre.

The creative team includes Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Neil Austin (lighting design), Adam Cork (sound design and original music), and Polly Bennett (movement).
