The new Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles, which opened at the Music Box Theatre on March 19, will close May 3, according to The New York Times. The drama, which is directed by Tony winner Pam MacKinnon, began previews February 23.
Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss stars in the production as Heidi, along with Jason Biggs, Bryce Pinkham, Tracee Chimo, Ali Ahn, Leighton Bryan, Elise Kibler, and Andy Truschinski.
The Heidi Chronicles follows two decades in the life of Heidi Holland, from high school in the 1960s to her career as an art historian. It explores the changing roles of women through the years. Biggs plays Scoop Rosenbaum, a magazine editor with a long, flirtatious relationship with Heidi. Pinkham will play Heidi's best friend, pediatrician Peter Patrone. Chimo takes on multiple supporting roles.
The production features scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Japhy Weideman, sound design by Jill BC Du Boff, projection design by Peter Nigrini, and hair and makeup design by Leah J. Loukas.
