Tony nominee Brian Murray (The Crucible) has been announced to star in the New York premiere of Mat Schaffer's thriller Simon Says at the Culture Project’s Lynn Redgrave Theater. The production is set to run frpm July 6-July 30, with an opening night on July 9. Myriam Cyr will direct.
Loosely inspired by Edgar Cayce, one of the primary psychics of the 20th century, and Jane Roberts, who channeled a being named Seth in the 1970s, Simon Says tells the story of a young psychic whose rare gift allows him to channel a mysterious entity named Simon. When he's ready to abandon the work until a young widow convinces him to do one last reading.
In addition to Brian Murray the cast features newcomers Vanessa Britting and Anthony J. Goes.
The set is designed by Janie Howland, costumes are designed by Cat Stramer, and lighting is designed by John Malinovski.
