Broadway's Daniel Breaker to Join Chicago Company of Hamilton

Tony Award nominee Daniel Breaker (The Book of Mormon) will join the Chicago company of Hamilton as Aaron Burr, beginning April 11 at the PrivateBank Theatre. Breaker will replace Wayne Brady, who plays his final performance April 9.

Directed by Thomas Kail and inspired by Ron Chernow's biography Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton explores the life of the American founding father and first Secretary of the Treasury, as well as his experiences as an orphan of the British West Indies who immigrated to the 13 Colonies and helped shape the United States of America.

Winner of 11 Tony Awards, the show features a book and score by Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, with music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, and sound design by Nevin Steinberg.

Breaker joins a cast that also features Ari Afsar as Eliza Hamilton, Miguel Cervantes as Alexander Hamilton, Alexander Gemignani as King George III, Jonathan Kirkland as George Washington, Chris De'Sean Lee as Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, Joseph Morales as Mr. Cervantes' alternate, Karen Olivo as Angelica Schuyler, José Ramos as John Laurens and Phillip Hamilton, Wallace Smith as Hercules Mulligan and James Madison, and Samantha Marie Ware as Peggy Schuyler and Maria Reynolds.
