In addition, Dancing with the Stars's Mark Ballas will make his Broadway debut as the final actor to take on the iconic role of Frankie Valli, beginning October 18, 2016. He will continue in the role through the end of the show's historic run next year. The musical — written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe — tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito, and Nick Massi, and includes dozens of their popular hits including "Walk Like a Man," "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Oh What a Night," and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
Jersey Boys opened on Broadway on November 6, 2005, after playing an out-of-town tryout run at the La Jolla Playhouse. A film version directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Young as Frankie Valli was released in 2014.
