The off-Broadway production of Tony Award-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's Building the Wall welcomes two guests to the evening show on May 24. Archibald Cox Jr., son of Watergate special prosecutor Archibald Cox, will take part in a postshow talkback.

Cox Jr. is the son of Archibald Cox, who was appointed in 1973 as the Special Prosecutor to oversee the federal criminal investigation into the Watergate scandal. Appointed by Attorney General Elliot Richardson, his investigation led him to subpoena the tapes that President Nixon had secretly recorded in the Oval Office. When Cox refused to back off from the subpoena under the White House's demands, Nixon fired him as part of what became known as the "Saturday Night Massacre."

Building the Wall is currently running at New World Stages. Ari Edelstein directs the production, which is set to play through July 9.

The two-person political suspense thriller features James Badge Dale and Tamara Tunie. The story is described as a "provocative 90-minute theatrical event set in the near future and deals with one of the most talked about topics of this past election. In a time when campaign rhetoric turns into real policies, Building the Wall reveals the power of theater to question who we are and where we might be going."

The creative team includes scenic design by Antje Ellermann, lighting design by Tyler Micoleau, costume design by Georgie Lee, and sound design by Bart Fasbender.
