John Tartaglia stars in Jonathan Tolins’ hit comedy.
Due to the snowy weather in the tri-state area, tonight's performance of Jonathan Tolins' hit solo show Buyer & Cellar at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse has been canceled.
David Saint directs the production, which stars original Avenue Q player and Tony nominee John Tartaglia as Alex More, an out-of-work L.A. actor who takes a job at the real-life, private, high-end mall that exists beneath Barbra Streisand's Malibu compound.
The creative team of the George Street production includes scenic designer Andrew Boyce, lighting designer Christopher J. Bailey, and projection designer Alex Koch.
In addition to his Tony-nominated performance in Avenue Q in 2004, Tartaglia is best known as executive producer, creator, and star of the eight-time Emmy-nominated Johnny and the Sprites, for which he personally earned an Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Performance in a Children's Series.
Buyer & Cellar began performances at the George Street Playhouse on March 3 and is expected to open tomorrow, March 6. The show will run through March 29.
