The nonprofit residency program for artists and activists held its second-annual gala on November 6.
SPACE on Ryder Farm held its second annual gala yesterday, November 6, at Metropolitan West. Advisory board member Carrie Coon hosted the evening. Attendees for this year's event included Eliza Bent, Nadia Bowers, Sarah DeLappe, Dave Malloy, Rosie Perez, Max Posner, Josh Radnor, Marley Shelton, Emily Simoness, Abigail Spencer, Corey Stoll, and Michaela Watkins, among others.
Led by founding executive director Emily Simoness, SPACE on Ryder Farm provides artists with two-day to five-week residencies on the property of the oldest operating farm in Putnam County.
Time at SPACE provides artists and innovators the opportunity to create away from the stress and noise of everyday life in the company of others.
Residencies are centered around three farm fresh meals per day providing residents with flexibility to structure their days to best suit the needs of their project, and each residency culminates with informal sharing of the work.
