Stephen Hamilton will direct Ben Woolf’s comedy.
Urban Stages has announced casting for the American premiere of Ben Woolf's Angry Young Man, directed by Stephen Hamilton. The limited engagement will begin performances March 17 in advance of a March 23 opening and run through April 9. The show will then moves to the John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in East Hampton, New York.
Angry Young Man is described as a fast-paced comedy in which a surgeon from the Middle East arrives in London in search of work and a new life. Instead, through a series of mistakes and hapless missteps, he runs afoul of both white nationalists and liberal hypocrites.The cast will include Christopher Daftsios, Rami Margron, Max Samuels, and Nazli Sarpkaya.
The design team includes Sebastian Paczynski (lighting design), Frank Oliva (set design), Yuka Silvera (costume design), and David M. Lawson (sound design).
