Cast and creative team information has been announced for the Florida Studio Theatre (FST) production of Southern Comforts, which will conclude this year’s Summerfest Season with Robert Farley at the helm.
A late-in-life love story about a caustic old widower warmed back to life by a merry widow with a honeyed accent, Southern Comforts is filled with surprises and tribulations alike.
The cast will feature Susan Greenhill as Amanda Cross, and Richard Bourg as Gus Klingman. The creative team will include Marcella Beckwith (costume and set design), and Colleen Jennings (lighting design).
Greenhill is a returning FST company member, most recently seen in Fiction and Dinner with Friends, and appeared on Broadway in Crimes of the Heart. Bourg will make his FST debut, and his regional credits include Manchurian Candidate, Tiger at the Gates, As You Like It, Hamlet and King Lear.
