Casting and creative team information has been announced for the Golden Apple Dinner Theatre production of Sugar, January 20-March 22. Robert Turoff will direct the production, with musical direction by John Visser.
Sugar, which is based on the film Some Like It Hot, follows the story of two out-of-work musicians who witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre and disguise themselves as women in an all-female band to avoid being killed by gangsters.
The cast will feature Christopher Swan as Joe, Joey Panek as Jerry, Samantha Barrett as Sugar, Kyle Ennis Turoff as Sweet Sue, Dewayne Barrett as Spats Palazzo, and Roy Johns as Osgood Fielding. The creative team will include Dewayne Barrett (choreography), Michael Newton-Brown (set design), and Dee Richards (costume designed).
