The New York Chapter of the Casting Society of America will name a new award after veteran casting director and philanthropist Rosalie Joseph. Joseph will be the inaugural recipient of the Rosalie Joseph Humanitarian Award, to be presented on January 31 at the Artios Awards.

The Rosalie Joseph Humanitarian Award will be given periodically to a New York casting director or casting associate who embodies Joseph's philanthropic spirit. In addition to being an outstanding casting director who is well respected in the New York entertainment community, the recipient of this award will be an individual who works tirelessly in the name of humanitarian causes, as Joseph does.

"On behalf of our international membership, CSA congratulates Rosalie on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for her tireless humanitarian efforts and service," CSA president Russell Boast said in a statement.
