The show will benefit Broadway Inspirational Voices’ outreach program.
Memphis Tony nominee Chad Kimball has joined the cast of Inspirational Broadway, a special concert event to be held at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill on February 15 at 7:30pm. The show, which will feature Broadway, R&B, gospel, and pop classics, will help benefit the BIV (Broadway Inspirational Voices) Outreach Program.
Kimball joins a company that also includes Adam Pascal (Disaster!), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Telly Leung (Allegiance), Tony nominee Jarrod Spector (Beautiful — The Carole King Musical), Tony winner Billy Porter (Shuffle Along), Drama Desk Award winner Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), two-time Tony nominee Joshua Henry (Shuffle Along), and Marcus Paul James (The Wiz Live!).
The bill will include numbers from Broadway musicals including Rent, Sunday in the Park With George, Violet, Oklahoma!, and Memphis, featuring BIV's innovative musical arrangements.
BIV is a gospel ensemble comprising actors who perform on Broadway and off. The performers slated for the concert will join BIV founder and Tony Award nominee Michael McElroy (Big River) to celebrate the soul of Broadway and BIV’s mission to give "hope, inspire, and change" lives with the universal power of inspirational music. The event is presented by Marathon Live Entertainment (Mike Karns), Telly Leung Productions, and R/J Productions (Rich Aronstein).
