Broadway’s Roxie Hart will perform songs from her latest album.
Bianca Marroquín, a longtime member of Chicago's Broadway company, will return to Feinstein's/54 Below for a solo show on August 18. She will perform songs from her upcoming album Nuestros Tesoros, her debut album El Mundo Era Mío, as well as songs she’s performed in musicals during the course of her career.
In addition to Chicago, in which she currently stars as Roxie Hart, Marroquín has appeared on Broadway in In the Heights and The Pajama Game. She began her stage career in Mexico City in productions such as Beauty and the Beast, The Phantom of the Opera, and Chicago. She received five awards from the Mexican Critics Association, including New Revelation and Best Actress for her Spanish-language portrayal of Chicago's Roxie Hart.
Marroquín made a name for herself as the first Mexican actress to have a starring role on Broadway and was the original Mary Poppins in Disney’s first Spanish production of the musical. In 2014, she was named the first-ever National Ambassador for Viva Broadway.
