Other newly announced speakers include Staci Slaughter (executive vice president, communications, and senior adviser to the CEO for the San Francisco Giants), Daniel and Ken Trush (cofounder of Daniel's Music Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides free music programs for people with disabilities from three-year-olds to adults in the New York City area), Julie Stroud (a Master Integrative Life Coach, corporate consultant, and trainer, and president and chief operating officer of the Ford Institute), Edward Poteat (a leading developer of affordable housing in the NYC metropolitan area), and Angel Rich (founder of the Wealth Factory).

TEDxBroadway was cofounded by Damian Bazadona of Situation Interactive and Jim McCarthy, CEO of Goldstar. The annual event, now in its seventh year, asks its presenters to address the question, "What's the best Broadway can be?"
