Second Stage Theater opens its new home on West 44th Street, the Hayes Theater.
Second Stage Theater officially opened its new Broadway home, the Hayes Theater, on February 5.
The lighting ceremony featured remarks from artistic director Carole Rothman, board member Lynn Nottage, and a host of New York City government officials. On hand to flip the switch to light up the venue were the stars of Second Stage's inaugural Broadway production, Lobby Hero: Michael Cera, Chris Evans, Brian Tyree Henry, and Bel Powley, as well as board members including Tony Goldwyn and Brooke Shields.

Directed by Trip Cullman, Kenneth Lonergan's Lobby Hero begins performances March 1 and opens on March 26. The Hayes Theater is designed by David Rockwell.
