Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) and Tony nominees Kate Burton (The Dead, 1904) and Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike) will join Tony and Oscar winner Kevin Kline in the upcoming Broadway revival of Noël Coward's Present Laughter. The comedy will be directed by Hand to God Tony nominee Moritz von Steulpnagel and presented at the St. James Theatre beginning March 10. Opening night is set for April 5.
Smulders will make her Broadway debut as Joanna Lyppiatt, alongside Nielsen as Monica Reed and Burton as Liz Essendine. As previously announced, Kline will take on the role of Garry Essendine, a self-obsessed actor preparing to travel for a touring commitment in Africa.
