Performances continue through June 18.
Manhattan Theatre Club's revival of Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, starring three-time Tony nominee Laura Linney and Tony winner Cynthia Nixon, opened April 19 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Take a look at photos of opening night in the gallery below.
Set in Alabama in 1900, Lillian Hellman's play follows Regina Giddens and her ruthless clan, including her sister-in-law Birdie, as they clash in often brutal ways in an effort to strike the deal of their lives. Daniel Sullivan directs.
Linney and Nixon alternate the roles of Regina and Birdie at every performance. They are joined by Darren Goldstein (The Madrid), Michael McKean (All the Way), Richard Thomas (An Enemy of the People), David Alford (Nashville), Michael Benz (West End's The Importance of Being Earnest), Caroline Stefanie Clay (Doubt), Francesca Carpanini (The Tempest), and Charles Turner (The Trip to Bountiful).
The creative team for The Little Foxes includes Scott Pask (scenic design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).
