Rupak Ginn and Carolyn McCormick will also star, with Steve Zuckerman directing.
Producers Darlene Kaplan, Laura Janik Cronin, and Scott J. Newsome announced the cast and creative team for the off-Broadway premiere of Shem Bitterman's The Stone Witch at Westside Theatre for an open-ended run starting Monday, March 12, with opening night set for Sunday, March 25. Steve Zuckerman will directs.
Dan Lauria will star alongside Rupak Ginn and Carolyn McCormick. First produced at the Berkshire Theatre Group in association with Darlene Kaplan Entertaiment and Brierpatch Productions in 2016, The Stone Witch is described as follows: "Extraordinary art must be tamed. Simon Grindberg is the world’s most illustrious children's book writer and illustrator — but his next masterpiece is a decade overdue. Peter Chandler is a starving artist with unparalleled potential — but he doesn’t yet know his own value. The two men are thrown together by Clair Forlorni, an ambitious editor who hopes Peter's youthful exuberance can unleash Simon's aging genius for one final story. But creativity comes at a cost."
The creative team will include Yael Pardess (set and projection art content design), Mimi Maxmen (costume design), Shawn Edward Doyle (lighting design), Christopher Cronin (sound design), Rasean Davonte Johnson (projection design), and Roger Bellon (composer), with J.P. Elins as production stage manager.
