The organization hosted its 13th annual luncheon at UBS.
Theatre Forward and UBS hosted the 13th Annual Broadway Roundtable on Friday, January 29. Hosted by Gregory S. Hurst of UBS and moderated by Theatre Forward Executive Director Bruce E. Whitacre, the luncheon explored the current Broadway landscape with stars Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), George Takei (Allegiance), and Jessica Hecht (Fiddler on the Roof); Hamilton musical director Alex Lacamoire, Tony-winning director Des McAnuff (Doctor Zhivago), Tony-winning producer Ruth Hendel (Eclipsed), and Joshua Borenstein, the Managing Director of Long Wharf Theatre.
Formerly known as the National Corporate Theatre Fund, Theatre Forward has been dedicated to advancing American theater and its communities by providing funding and other resources to the country's leading nonprofit theaters. After a strategic review to guide its future, the organization chose to adopt its new name to more accurately reflect its expanded funding outreach to include foundations and private individuals along with new program offerings, and to be more reflective of its proactive contribution to the arts community at large.
