The event will honor actress Kelli O’Hara and director Bartlett Sher.
New York Pops has announced the performers who will make appearances at its upcoming gala honoring Tony Award winners Kelli O'Hara and Bartlett Sher. The concert event will take place May 1 at Carnegie Hall.
Music director Steven Reineke will lead a lineup that includes Broadway stars Danny Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof), Ruthie Ann Miles (Sunday in the Park With George), Laura Osnes (Bandstand), and Paulo Szot (South Pacific), as well as compositions by Jason Robert Brown (Honeymoon in Vegas) and Nico Muhly (The Cherry Orchard). Additional artists will be announced at a later date.
The concert will also feature 20 students from the New York Pops' Kids on Stage music education program and Camp Broadway Kids. Honorary cochairs for the event include Adam Guettel, John Lithgow, Matthew Morrison, Nico Muhly, Anna Netrebko, and Ken Watanabe.
Following the concert, a black-tie dinner dance will be held at the Mandarin Oriental New York.
