Brian d’Arcy James, John Gallagher, Jr., and Jim Norton will star in the Atlantic Theater Company’s production of Conor McPherson’s Port Authority, to run April 30-June 15. The production, which will open on May 21, will be directed by Henry Wishcamper.

The play, set in contemporary Dublin, weaves the story of three generations of Irishmen as they experience loss, failure, and the elusiveness of love. McPherson is currently represented on Broadway by The Seafarer; his other plays include Shining City, The Weir, and Dublin Carol.

The creative team features Takeshi Kata (sets), Jenny Mannis (costumes), Matthew Richards (lighting), and Bart Fasbender (sound). Wishcamper’s directing credits include Talking Pictures, Flags, and Elvis People.

D’Arcy James received a Tony Award nomination for Sweet Smell of Success. His other New York credits include The Apple Tree, Titanic, Next to Normal, The Good Thief, and the Atlantic’s production of The Lieutenant of Inishmore. He will return to Broadway later this year in the title role of Shrek: The Musical.

Gallagher won the 2007 Tony Award for Spring Awakening, which began at the Atlantic, and starred in the Broadway production of Rabbit Hole. Norton is on Broadway in The Seafarer, for which he won the Olivier Award, and has starred in New York in The Weir and McPherson’s Dublin Carol, which was presented at the Atlantic.
