David Byrne and Fatboy Slim's Here Lies Love Reopens at the Public Theater

On Thursday, May 1, Here Lies Love celebrated its second opening night at The Public Theater.

Conrad Ricamora, Ruthie Ann Miles, and Jose Llana lead the company as Ninoy Acquino, Imelda Marcos, and Ferdinand Marcos, respectively.

The musical is written by David Byrne (left) and directed by Alex Timbers.

Featured in the company are Natalie Cortez, Melody Butiu, and Christine Oliveras.

Inspired by the life of Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos, Here Lies Love takes place in a dance club atmosphere as it follows the journey of Marcos' meteoric rise to power and subsequent descent into infamy and disgrace at the end of the People Power Revolution. Byrne coauthored the musical with Fatboy Slim.
