Anne Kauffman directs the new work at Playwrights Horizons.
The stars of A Life, a world-premiere play by Adam Bock, met the press at Playwrights Horizons on September 6. Directed by Anne Kauffman, the production will begin performances on September 30 in advance of an October 24 opening and will run through November 13.
Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce heads the cast as Nate Martin, a man who turns to the stars after his most recent breakup casts him into a funk. Poring over astrological charts, he obsessively questions his past and his place in the cosmos. He is joined by Marinda Anderson, Brad Heberlee, Nedra McClyde, and Lynne McCollough.
The production's creative team will feature scenic design by Laura Jellinek, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Matt Frey, and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel. The production stage manager will be Erin Gioia Albrecht.
