Further casting has been announced for HBO's upcoming Game of Thrones prequel pilot.
In addition to the previously announced Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse, Denise Gough (Angels in America) and Alex Sharp (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) are set to join the cast, as are Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Episode IX), Jamie Campbell Bower (Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd), Sheila Atim (Girl From the North Country in London), Ivanno Jeremiah (Humans), Georgie Henley (Lucy in the Chronicles of Narnia films), and Toby Regbo (Netflix's The Last Kingdom). The nature of their roles have yet to be revealed.
S.J. Clarkson (Netflix's Collateral) will direct the pilot, with Jane Goldman writing the teleplay. Goldman and George R.R. Martin are the creators of the new show, with Goldman serving as showrunner. They will serve as executive producers along with Clarkson, Daniel Zelman, James Farrell, Jim Danger Gray, Vince Gerardis, and Chris Symes.
