Coming soon to the Disney Channel: the fourth installment of the popular High School Musical film series.
The network has kicked off a nationwide casting search for the film, which will be directed and choreographed by Jeff Hornaday. Dan Berendsen and Peter Barsocchini will pen the screenplay. Barsocchini penned all three previous High School Musical movies. High School Musical 4 will once again take place at East High and follow the school's rivalry with West High.
The original High School Musical series recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. The series, which concluded in 2008, starred Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Corbin Bleu, among others. The theatrical release of High School Musical 3: Senior Year grossed more than $250 million worldwide.
