Broadway’s Erin Mackey also enters the cast at Bucks County Playhouse.
Full casting has been announced for the new musical A Taste of Things To Come, premiering at Bucks County Playhouse this month. Performances are set to begin January 30 in advance of an official February 3 opening.
The production will be directed and choreographed by Bucks County Playhouse artistic associate Lauren Lotarro, who is also set to choreograph the upcoming Broadway musical Waitress.
Featuring a book, music, and lyrics by Debra Barsha and Hollye Levin, the show is described as follows: "It is the 1950s in Winnetka, IL and four women meet every Wednesday to share recipes and secrets. The Betty Crocker cooking contest may not change their lives, but the 1960s sure will!"
The cast features Anneliese van der Pol (Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s That’s So Raven) as Joan Smith, Erin Mackey (Wicked) as Connie Olsen, Allison Guinn (On the Town) as Dottie O’Farrell, and Gina Naomi Baez (Orange Is the New Black) as Agnes Crookshank.
The creative team includes music direction by Lena Gabrielle, scenic design by Steven Kemp, lighting design by Nathan W. Scheuer, costume design by Dana Burkart, and sound design by Robert Killenberger.
