Due to popular demand, Disney's Newsies: The Broadway Musical! will return to cinemas for a two-day summer encore. Fathom Events and Disney Theatrical Productions will bring the musical to more than 600 select movie theaters for screenings on Thursday, July 26, at 7pm, and Saturday, July 28, at 12:55pm (all local times). For a complete list of theater locations, visit the Fathom Events website here.

Captured live at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in September 2016, Newsies stars Jeremy Jordan, who earned a Tony nomination for originating the role of Jack Kelly in Newsies on Broadway and currently stars in the television series Supergirl. The company also features Broadway cast members Kara Lindsay as Katherine, Ben Fankhauser as Davey, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as Crutchie, as well as Newsies North American Tour stars Steve Blanchard as Joseph Pulitzer, Aisha de Haas as Medda Larkin, and Ethan Steiner as Les.

Set in New York City at the turn of the century, Newsies tells the story of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged "newsies," who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike for what's right.

Based on the 1992 Disney movie, Newsies features a Tony Award-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Jack Feldman, a book by Harvey Fierstein, direction by Jeff Calhoun, and Tony-winning choreography by Christopher Gattelli.
