Dominique Morisseau's Acclaimed Skeleton Crew to Transfer at Atlantic Theater Company

Dominique Morisseau's acclaimed drama Skeleton Crew will transfer from Atlantic Theater Company's Atlantic Stage 2 to their mainstage Linda Gross Theater later this year. Performances will begin May 13, with opening night set for May 19. The limited engagement will continue through June 19.

The full five-member company of Ruben Santiago-Hudson's production, made up of Jason Dirden, Wendell B. Franklin, Lynda Gravatt, Nikiya Mathis, and Adesola Osakalumi, will move with the show. The drama features scenic design by Michael Carnahan, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Rui Rita, original music and sound design by Rob Kaplowitz, songs by Jimmy Keys, and choreography by Adesola Osakalumi.

In the work, the third of Morisseau's Detroit trilogy, a makeshift family of workers at the last exporting auto plant in the city navigate the possibility of foreclosure. Power dynamics shift and they are pushed to the limits of survival. When the line between blue collar and white collar gets blurred, how far over the lines are they willing to step?

Skeleton Crew ends its sold-out run at Atlantic Stage 2 on February 14. It replaces The Band's Visit on Atlantic's mainstage lineup, which has since been rescheduled to the fall.
