Dominique Morisseau’s ”Skeleton Crew” and Kate Hamill’s ”Pride and Prejudice” are among the productions.
Dorset Theatre Festival has announced the casts for the four productions of its 2018 season, all taking place at the Dorset Playhouse.
Clea Alsip (M. Butterfly), Andrea Syglowski (queens), Greg Keller (The Amateurs), and Janie Brookshire (The Wanderers) will star in Molly Smith Metzler's Cry It Out, directed by Marc Masterson, running June 21-July 14.
For its following production of Dominique Morisseau's Skeleton Crew, the cast will include Brenda Pressley (The Lyons), Leland Fowler (Henry V), Mirirai Sithole (School Girls; or, The African Mean Girls Play), and Gabriel Lawrence (Madam Secretary). Jade King Carroll will direct the production, which runs July 19-August 4.
Kate Hamill's adaptation of Pride and Pejudice will feature Krystel Lucas (Jessica Jones) as Jane and Miss De Bourgh; Jessica Frey (Sense and Sensibility) as Lizzy; Aishling Pembroke (Tough) as Lydia and Lady Catherine; Dave Quay (The Low Road) as Mr. Darcy; Ryan Quinn (Whorl Inside a Loop) as Mr. Collins, Wickham, and Miss Bingley; Carmen Lacivita (Marvin's Room) as Mr. Bingley and Mary; Omar Robinson (Much Ado About Nothing) as Charlotte Lucas and Mr. Bennet; and Joan Coombs (Tartuffe) as Mrs. Bennet. Directed by Christopher V. Edwards, the production will run August 9-25.
Finally, Jayne Atkinson (House of Cards) will play Texas governor Ann Richards in Holland Taylor's solo show Ann, directed by Kristen van Ginhoven, and running August 29-September 1.
