Playwright Edward Albee, actors Gary Beach and Richard Thomas, and producers Elizabeth I. McCann and Martin Richards will participate in a panel discussion on Monday, January 17, exploring how the theater has responded to social changes in American society over the past half century.
The event will be held at Tony’s Di Napoli restaurant (147 West 43rd Street). A reception consisting of a light buffet, wine, and soft drinks will begin at 5:30pm, followed by the panel discussion from 6:15 to 7:45. The discussion will be co-moderated by Drama Desk second vice president Charles Wright and board member Ellis Nassour.
Remaining seating for the event is extremely limited; tickets for non-Drama Desk members are priced at $25 and may be reserved by phoning 212-787-7020.
