Edie Falco and More to Perform Plays by Youngsters From Hell's Kitchen With The 52nd Street Project

The 52nd Street Project's semiannual Playmaking series pairs young people from Hell's Kitchen, a neighborhood in New York City, with theater professionals who mentor them through the creation of original plays. This season, those projects will culminate in the presentation of Out on a Limb: Plays That Branch Out, running from April 4–6 at The 52nd Street Project's Five Angels Theater.

Out on a Limb features the Project's youngest mentees — 10-year-olds who have just begun their theatrical education and who will present their work to a public audience for the first time. Tony nominee Edie Falco and other accomplished actors, working with directors including Felix Solis and James Yaegashi, will perform in the show.

The series' young playwrights, who will pen one-act plays, are Sevan Asencio, Duaa Alkindi, Jayla Alvarez, Kiara Figueroa, Nathaniel Ortiz, Sebastian Lopez, Sofia Santoni, Daniel Tineo, Karen Tineo, and Milen Tokarev.

In addition to Falco, the adult performers include Carlo Albán, Marinda Anderson, Michael Braun, Dan Butler, Dahlia Azama, Matt Citron, Eric Clem, Michael Crane, Marco Formosa, Greg Hildreth, Sekou Laidlow, Krystel Lucas, Adrienne Moore, Joe Paulik, Christina Acosta Robinson, Shirley Rumierk, Mauricio Salgado, Wrenn Schmidt, and Laura Woodward.

The adult dramaturg-directors are George Babiak, Nehassaiu DeGannes, Sarah Krohn, Rebecca Martinez, Christina Roussos, Felix Solis, Jeremy Stoller, Kerry Whigham, Annie Worden, and James Yaegashi.
